I lost my father back in March of 2011. He lived a long life to the age of 98! I speak to my father every day, he is one of my guides. I can honestly say that he has helped me in ways since he has passed that never would have been possible before. Still, with his passing I miss the sound of his voice and his gentle nature. He was a true old soul and a gentleman. This past Father's Day, I lit a white candle and played my singing bowls for him while calling in the Angels for comfort and support. I pulled a card from the Doreen Virtue and James Van Praagh oracle card deck, "Talking to Heaven".
We are all given free will. The free will to make our own decisions in life that will carve out our paths. We also have the choice to choose love or to choose fear. When you let someone else's opinions of you define who you are then you are not living your true soul's purpose. Neither are you loving yourself, rather you are living in fear of not being accepted by others. What's even worse is adopting a fear of what others MIGHT think of you if you do follow your heart. What will they say? What will they think? The truth is...what does it matter? Who cares?? Stop living in fear of what other's may think.
Choose LOVE! You are worthy of love and to love yourself and all that you are put here on Earth to do. By making the right choices for YOURSELF, rather than by following others, you are choosing joy, happiness, and a life of abundance and fulfillment. Stay true to your nature and let the opinions of others fall away...they serve you no good. This is the message that I share for you, as it was truly meant for me this past Father's Day. This message was pointing to a very specific area of my life that has been weighing me down for some time now. And I needed my dad to step in and to help steer me back in the right direction. Because let's face it...we all fall off track from time to time. The choices we make in life are sometimes not the best ones, even if they seem right at that point in time. Wrong choices are still meant to teach us lessons and to help us to grow and to evolve.
Do you see the two hearts in the picture?? The big one is dad, and the little one is me...a sign that he is still with me, still guiding me, still nudging me along every day. I share this with you so that you may take this message and perhaps apply it to your own life. To remember to not settle in life, to not let fear get the best of you...to stay true to yourself and what you believe in. Sometimes we all need little reminders that there are others still watching out for us, even if it feels like we are all alone in a silent battle.
